TVs and monitors are one of the most common consumer purchases for households. So manufacturers are taking advantage of IFA—one of the world’s biggest consumer electronics and appliances shows—held annually in Berlin.
So, what has IFA 2023 turned up for entertainment aficionados? Let’s check out the best new TVs and monitors our team has seen on the ground.
AWOL Vision Vanish Laser TV
The trends in TV screen size are increasing year-by-year—according to Statista , the average TV size in the US was 38 inches in 2012, rising to 50 inches by 2022. However, as TV sizes increase, they occupy more space, even when you’re not using them.
So, to help address this, AWOL introduced the Vision Vanish Laser TV. This unit incorporates a laser TV projector, a retracting screen, and a smart cabinet holding it all together. All this comes out to a 100 or 120-inch screen with 3D andMEMC technology .
By putting this all together, you get a high-end that features 3,500 NASI lumens brightness with HDR 10+ support and 36-watt Dolby-compatible speakers. It also has a 4K resolution, and the company claims that the screen’s lag is only 30ms when gaming mode is activated, making it an excellent gaming display.

If you need to go larger than 120 inches, your next best option is Hisense’s 200-inch Laser TVs. This device features two short-throw projectors that seamlessly combine in a single 200-inch screen.
What’s impressive about this technology is how it seamlessly combines the output of two laser projectors into a single ultra-wide screen. However, we don’t have much information beyond that, so we’re still waiting on Hisense, as we’re excited to learn more about it.
Lenovo ThinkVision 3D Monitor

We’re already seeingsigns that 3D technology is making a comeback in laptops. But Lenovo is taking it a step further by introducing the ThinkVIsion 3D monitor. This 27-inch display gives 3D vision to users without the need for glasses.
This 27-inch monitor has a 4K resolution screen, but it also uses eye-tracking technology to project one-half of the screen to each eye, equating to a resolution of 1920 x 2160 per eye. But instead of projecting it outside of the monitor, the 3D image looks as if it’s floating inside the screen.
